5 Quick & Easy Smoothie Recipes


Something that almost all of us enjoy in some form or another is a smoothie. Although there are a number of easy smoothie recipes that are available, not all of them are going to be to everybody’s liking. If you just want something that you can quickly put together and that will be both healthy and delicious, however, here are 5 recipes that we really enjoy.

The easiest smoothie recipe that you can throw together is probably one that is also the most popular. Just throw a bunch of fruit into a blender with some water and ice. Add a little bit of vanilla yogurt, and you will have a delicious smoothie, no matter what other ingredients you use.

The Green smoothie is also one that is popular among those who really enjoy having something healthy. My personal favorite is to take an apple along with one banana in water and ice and add five leaves of Romain lettuce. Blend until it is smooth, and you would be surprised with how yummy this nutritious drink it.

A berry smoothie is also something that is rather popular, and it contains a lot of antioxidants that are very good for the body. You don’t really need to get overly fancy in order for you to have something that is delicious in this regard. Just throw a bunch of different types of berries into the blender with some water and blend until smooth. If you need a little bit more consistency, try adding some yogurt or perhaps some frozen pineapple.

Another type of Green smoothie that I really enjoy is a tropical smoothie. Of course, you don’t need to put the greens in this smoothie in order to enjoy it, but it does make it a lot more nutritious. Any type of tropical fruit can be added into this smoothie, including papaya and pineapple. If you want something that gives it more consistency, vanilla yogurt does an excellent job. Personally, I don’t like to put yogurt in this smoothie but rather, I freeze some bananas and pineapple at a time.

One final type of smoothie is one that is full of a lot of good things for you. Use two pieces of your favorite type of fruit, perhaps including a banana because it gets rid of a lot of the green taste of this type of smoothie. Blend it together with some Romain lettuce, kale, cocoa nibs, Chia seeds and hemp seeds. This is one of the most nutritious smoothies that you can ever drink, and it is rather delicious if it is made properly.

The real key to making a good smoothie that is both easy and quick is to do some experimentation. All of us like our own different types of fruits, so experiment with combining them on your own. One thing is certain, I’ve never made a smoothie that I did not like so mix and match all you like.
